James L. Brooks, the acclaimed writer and director known for his work on classic films like Terms of Endearment and Broadcast News, is making a return to the big screen with his latest project, Ella McCay. This film marks his first time in the director’s chair since 2010’s How Do You Know, making it a highly anticipated release for fans of his work.
The movie stars Emma Mackey, best known for her role in the hit series Sex Education, as the lead character, Ella McCay. The story follows Ella as she rises to the position of state governor after her boss, played by Albert Brooks, is promoted to a federal cabinet role.
